Men's Hockey Drops Second Game in Series Against Lawrence Tech, 9-2

Farmington Hills, MI - After a dominant 7-1 Victory over Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Friday night the Saints look to do it again in the second game of the series. But, the Saints were down several key members and suffered a 9-2 defeat at the hands of Lawrence Tech.
 
Aquinas falls to 7-5 overall this season and 4-4 in conference play.
 
Lawrence Tech was first to strike and did so quickly in the game with a score at 19:06 in the period. They would tally another goal at 14:28 to go up by two scores on the Saints. AQ was able to get on the board at 13:50 when Alex Johnson scored unassisted on the goal. The Blue Devils score once more in the period and would head to the locker room up 3-1.
 
To begin the second period, the Blue Devils came out hot with three more goals. Danny Barry snuck in a goal with 35 seconds left in the period. Dylan Rumpke and Alex Johnson were accredited with the assists.
 
AQ couldn't get any momentum in the third period and LTU continued to score with another three goals in the period ending the game 9-2 LTU.
 
Michael Allman played the first 55 minutes of the contest in net for the Saints and faced 42 total shots and saved 33 of them. Max Johnston finished up the game in net for the Saints.
 
AQ will look to bounce back next week in a weekend series against Concordia. Friday's contest is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM.
