Rumpke's Overtime Goal Lifts Saints over Davenport, 3-2

The Saints were back at the Eagles Ice Center for their second of two games of the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Tournament, this time facing off against the Davenport Panthers. Sixty minutes of action wasn't enough for these two teams as they headed to overtime, where Dylan Rumpke scored the game winner for Aquinas.

AQ now moves to 9-10 on the season.

The first goal of the game at the hands of the fifth 5th year captains. The Saints were on the board at 6:29 after Mason Stewart found Brand Rozema for the power play goal. The Saints would leave the period up 1-0.

In the second period, the Saints go off to a hot start scoring 43 seconds into the period. Stewart would score this time when he was assisted by Rozema and Rumpke. The Panthers would roar back scoring two goals in the period, tying it up.

Neither team was able to net a goal in the third sending the two teams into overtime. The crowd wouldn't have to wait long for a winner tonight as Dylan Rumpke scored 13 seconds into period, giving the Saints the win. He was assisted by Danny Barry on the play.

Michael Allman was in goal for the Saints tonight. He faced 53 shots and saved all but two.

The Saints will take a break from competition for the holidays. When they return, they will continue conference play, hosting Rochester University on January 6 at home.
