The Aquinas Saints took on the Davenport Panthers in an exhibition matchup this evening. Despite leading at the half the Saints were unable to come away with the victory, falling by a score of 64-56.
The Saints jumped out to a short lead going up 5-0, before the Saints and Panthers went back and forth for the duration of the half. As time ran down, AQ got the upper leg on the Panthers leading them 29-26 at the half.
Coming out of the half, the Panthers found their stride outscoring AQ 38-27. AQ shot 31% in the second half being unable to match the Panthers 56% shooting in the half and falling by a score of 64-56.
Donovan Brown Boyd led the Saints in scoring with eight points in tonights exhibition.
Menalito McGee led the Saints in rebounds and assists with five and four.
Nick Henry tallied the Saints only block today.
The Saints will take a break over the holidays, but will return to action on December 28. The Saints are scheduled to host Governors State at 3:00 PM
