The men's hockey team competed locally this past Saturday when they played the second game of a series with Davenport. The Saints were able to complete the series sweep with four players scoring on their way to a 5-2 victory.

The game got off to a bad start for the Saints as the Panthers scored at 19:51 in the first period. The Saints were unable to score in the first but put up eight shots compared to the Panthers nine.
In the second, period the panthers struck again nine seconds into the period to put the Panthers up two. From here though the Saints decided to turn it on. At 12:35
Nick Long scored. He was assisted by fellow seniors
Brandon Rozema and
Brandon Schwandt. Then at 1:40 left in the period, Rozema took a turn scoring when he netted a goal. He was assisted on the play by
Darren Johnson.
With the game tied up going into the third, the Saints piled on the goals.
Nick Stockert continued his scoring ways from the previous day and netted two goals at 9:49 and 7:15.
David Elford and
Mike Curran assisted on the first goal and
Mason Stewart assisted on the second. To ice the game, freshman
Christian Look scored at 4:13 in the period when he was assisted by
Darren Johnson.
Goalie,
Michael Allman faced 31 shots on the game and turned away 29 of them. The Saints put up 39 shots on the day.
The men's hockey team will now move onto the WHAC Conference Tournament where they will enter as the #3 seed and face off against Cleary in the first round on Friday, February 18 at 2:00 PM.
