The Aquinas baseball team faced #23 UNOH in a single make-up WHAC conference game on Tuesday (Apr. 19) in Grand Rapids, Michigan at De Witt Field. The Saints were only able to get two hits off the Racers' pitching staff as UNOH gets the 6-0 win. AQ now sits at 16-26 (4-10 WHAC) on the season, while UNOH improves to 28-9 (15-1 WHAC) in 2022.
The Racers scored their first two runs in the top of the first inning as the first three batters reached on a single, a triple, and a walk with the second run coming in on a fielder's choice. The next two runs came in the third on a two RBI double to claim a 4-0 lead.
Mason Hill (0-5) started on the bump for the Saints and took the loss after lasting three innings, while allowing four runs on six hits plus two walks.
Nathan Myers came in to pitch the next three innings and only surrendered one run in the fifth inning on a hit and two groundouts.

Tyler Zomerlei. The trio gave up one run on two hits and two walks.
The Saints next play a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday (Apr. 21) in Joliet, Illinois against St. Francis (Ill.). First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
