Grand Rapids, Mich. – The Aquinas women's lacrosse team, along with head coach,
Angelica Gero, are thrilled to be announcing the last addition to the team, Kennedy Stilson. Stilson is a resident of Brighton, Michigan and a transfer from Cleary University. She will be joining the lacrosse team for the 2023 season and plans to pursue a degree in business management.
In total, Stilson has been playing lacrosse for 11 years. She was a part of the Brighton Bulldog's varsity team for three seasons, earning an MVP in 2019 and helping Brighton finish state runners-up in 2019 and 2021. In addition, Stilson played for the Cyclones travel team and competed in field hockey and power lifting.
When asked about Stilson as the newest addition to the team, this is what coach Gero had to say: "Of course it is such a bummer that Cleary's lacrosse programs got cancelled, but we are so happy to get Kennedy over here to continue her lacrosse career as a Saint!"
When asked about her decision to transfer to Aquinas, this is what Stilson had to offer: "I chose Aquinas because of the beautiful environment in the city and the great education that the college offers."
