Dearborn, MI - The men's hockey team traveled to Dearborn, Michigan for a conference matchup against the the #20 Wolverines this evening. After 60 minutes of play the Saints came out with the 2-1 victory moving to 12-10 overall on the season and 7-7 in the conference.

The Saints were the first team to score in the contest with a goal at 4:29 in the period. This goal came from
Gustav Ostman unassisted. Aquinas had six shots on the period compared to the Wolverines 14.

Then in the second period, the two teams were in a gridlock until 5:03 when
Shane DiTullio broke the ice. He was assisted on the play by
Gavin Phillips. This put the Saints up 2-0 to end the second period.

In the third period, the Wolverines looked to comeback as they scored on a powerplay at 15:11. The two teams would go back and forth until the final buzzer sounded when the Saints bested the Wolverines by a score of 2-1

Max Johnston had a stellar night in goal saving 46 out of 47 shots. The Saints had 19 shots on goal on the night.

The Saints will welcome the Wolverines to the Southside Ice Arena tomorrow night for a rematch. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
