CSC Academic All-District Teams
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently announced its 2023 Academic All-District Teams, with three members of the Aquinas women's soccer team receiving this distinction for their efforts in the classroom and on the field.
Laia Cunill | Senior | Esporles, Mallorca, Spain | Exercise Science
Sandra Segovia | Junior | Valencia, Spain | Business & Sports Management
Sydney Shenk | Senior | Seattle, Wash. | Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District recognition by current dues-paying CSC members and must meet high academic and athletic standards. Academically, the student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. A new rule this year allows for first-year transfer students to be eligible for the award.
Athletically, for fall sports, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played or must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets. For more information,
