Grand Rapids, MI - On Senior Day the Women's Basketball team hosted the #16 ranked Indiana Tech Warriors in their final home game of the season. Despite not walking away with the victory, the Saints put the pressure on the Warriors all game resulting in final score of 57-50. AQ falls to 10-16 this season and 5-13 in conference play. Indiana sits atop the conference with a 16-2 WHAC record.

The Warriors took the lead first with two three pointers from Kyra Whitaker, but the Saints crept their way back into position with buckets from
JaKarri Alven,
Mauriya Barnes, and
Emily Cline. With three minutes left in the quarter the Warriors lead AQ 15-7 and the Saints went to work again. A well-rounded scoring effort from the Saints saw AQ lead Indiana Tech at the end of the quarter by a score of 16-15.

The Warriors would find their groove in the second quarter by shooting 50% from the field and going 5-6 from the stripe. Erika Foy had 6 of their points, while
Isabel Reemsnyder lead AQ with 4 points making both of her field goal attempts. Indiana Tech would take a 33-28 lead into the half.

In the third quarter both teams struggled to find the bottom of the net as Tech had 5 points to Aquinas' 4 points.
Emily Cline and Isabel Reemsynder would split AQ's points. The two teams would go scoreless the last 5 minutes of the quarter.

The ice was broken quickly into the fourth quarter when Barnes and Reemsnyder hit pairs of free throws to bring AQ within two points. Later at 6:25,
Eliza Brown would hit a three-point basket to tie the game up. Indiana Tech would go on a 12-0 run in the next three minutes that proved to be too much for the underdog Saints, as Tech won by a score of 57-50.

JaKarri Alven was AQ's leading scorer with 13 points and tallying six rebounds.
Mauriya Barnes was close behind with 12 points.
Jayda Smith led the team in assists with three while
Emily Cline totaled eight rebounds.
