Women's Lacrosse Handles the Warriors of Rochester, 20-2

Rochester Hills, Michigan - Head coach, Angelica Gero and the rest of the Saints hit the road this afternoon for an conference game against the Rochester Warriors. The Saints were able to easily defeat the Warriors by a score of 20-2, improving their season record to 8-1 and 5-0 in conference play.
 
It didn't take long for the Saints to net their first goal, when the Saints leading scorer, Kennadie Minerich scored at 14:31 on an assist from Katelyn Hall. Two minutes later, Hall would score for her third goal of the season. The third goal came from McKenna Burke at 9:36 unassisted. The Saints continued to move the ball around with goals from Cierra Davis and Stella Bottum. Both goals were assisted by Trinity Reynoso. Minerich scored once more this quarter on a pass from Sophia Schmader
 
Minerich recorded the first hat trick of the day, when scoring at 14:24 of the second quarter. Alex Sullivan netted her only goal of the day at 11:45 before McKenna Burke scored her second of the day at 10:49. Two Stella Bottum goals followed before Alexis Villarini scored her first goal of the season at 4:38. Hall scored once more before the half as the Saints lead 13-0.
 
In the third the Warriors would have their first goal of the game, but were still outscored 5-1. Villarini netted her second of the day, followed by Hall's third goal. After the Rochester goal at 9:05, Shaylin Rings scored her lone goal of the day at 6:47. Brianna Trepins scored twice before the end of the quarter to put the Saints up 18-1.
 
To end the game Schmader and Villarini each tallied a goal to Rochester's one, as AQ walked away with the 20-2 victory.
 
In net, Kennedy Stilson tallied four saves and two goals against her in 60:00 minutes of play.
 
AQ will have one more contest on the road, before returning to the AQ Athletic Field. This next contest takes place on Wednesday, April 5, when the Saints travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Concordia Cardinals. The contest takes place at 4:00 PM.
