Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Saints faced a tough challenge on Wednesday (Oct. 16), falling 3-0 to No. 10-rated Calvin at the Eagles Ice Center. Aquinas conceded two goals in the first period but tightened up defensively, allowing just one more in the second while keeping Calvin scoreless in the third.

The Knights took advantage of late first-period penalties, breaking through with their first goal with 5:21 left on the clock. Just over four minutes later, with 1:02 remaining, Calvin struck again, sending the Saints into a 2-0 deficit.
Calvin took advantage of another power play late in the second period, securing their third goal at 18:45.
Aquinas stepped up its defense in the third period, preventing Calvin from adding to their lead. However, the Saints couldn't capitalize offensively, leaving the score at 3-0 to end the game.
