Cincinnati, Ohio — The #17-rated Aquinas College men's rugby team made way for Cincinnati, Ohio, on Saturday (Oct. 26) to take on Thomas More for the Quarterfinals of the Big Rivers Conference Tournament. After a hard fought 80 minutes, the Saints were unable to maintain pace against Thomas Moore. AQ fell short by a score of 36-21.

After a difficult back-and-forth and the final whistle brought the contest to a close, AQ was routed in the opening leg of the conference tournament.

The Saints try scorers were Michael Morales, Gavin Thompson, and Jackson Andrews. And Andrews was perfect for his three conversions.

Here is what Head Coach Lance Hohaia had to share about the days performance, "We started the game slowly and fell behind on the scoreboard early. Midway through the second half, we found our rhythm, scoring three back-to-back tries, but ultimately the gap was too large to close. On a positive note, we were able to give some valuable game time to our younger team members, which should support their development moving forward."
