Caledonia, Mich. – The Aquinas men's tennis team competed in their final contest of the fall season on Friday (Oct. 4). The Saints faced tough competition from the NCAA DII Davenport team, who managed to claim a 7-0 victory over the Saints.

Tom Gangov highlighted the match of the day in the number one singles match. Gangov took the first game six sets to four. The drama continued as his opponent managed to win a tiebreaker game to claim the second set before the third and final set required 18 games to decide the winner. Davenport's Jan Stolin squeaked out the win over Gangov by a third-set score of 10-8.
Aquinas managed to win a handful of games in the remaining singles matches, but Davenport showcased its experience.

Dorian Petengill,
Dominic Maslanka, and
Nicholas Lourido all managed to win at least one game but ultimately fell in their respective matches.
Davenport also had the upper hand in doubles play. Both the teams of Gangov and Petengill, and Ha and Lourdio, won two games, but Davenport won the sets 6-2.
Josh Chlebek and Maslanka competed in number two doubles, but DU managed to win six consecutive games.
