Ann Arbor, Mich. – The Aquinas Saints faced off against the Concordia Cardinals for the second time tonight (Nov. 16). Despite their determined effort, the Saints fell to the Cardinals in a shutout.

Concordia 7, Aquinas 0

Concordia opened the game strong, scoring an early goal to take the lead. They followed up with another goal at the five-minute mark of the first period. Although neither team scored in the next five minutes, the Saints had a power-play opportunity when Concordia received a two-minute penalty for checking. Despite the advantage, Aquinas couldn't find the net, though Kylie Rancilio and Julia DeHondt managed to get shots on goal. Concordia added two more goals at the 12- and 19-minute marks, ending the first period with a 4-0 lead.

In the second period, Alyssa Exline led the Saints' offensive efforts, firing two strong shots in the second and 11th minutes, both blocked by Concordia's goalie Molly Burks. Anna Castle and Reyna Dominczak also tested the Cardinals' defense, but their attempts were saved as well. The Saints' defense stepped up, holding Concordia scoreless in the second period.

However, the Cardinals regained momentum in the third period, scoring their 5th, 6th, and 7th goals within a three-minute span, all during power plays. Dominczak managed one last shot on goal for the Saints before the final whistle, leaving the Cardinals with a commanding 7-0 victory.
