Aquinas Receives Votes in Final NAIA Top 25 Men's Soccer Poll

Kansas City, Mo. – The Aquinas College men's soccer team earned recognition in the final National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the 2024 season. Although Aquinas didn't make the Top 25 list, this nod reflects their competitive presence in the NAIA landscape as the team heads into the semifinals of the WHAC tournament.

In the final NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, several teams saw notable movements. Missouri Valley ascended from fifth to fourth, demonstrating a strong finish to their season, while William Penn (Iowa) leaped from eighth to fifth, securing a top-five position. Mid-America Christian (Okla.) climbed three spots from 12th to ninth, while William Carey (Miss.) moved up from 14th to 12th. LSU Shreveport (La.) made an impressive climb in the Top 25, landing at No. 19 after previously being 22. These changes reflect a competitive end to the season as teams solidify their standings heading into the postseason.

The Saints look forward to building on their momentum after a big 2-1 win over UNOH in the quarterfinals of the WHAC tournament. With a season marked by hard-fought matches and steady improvement, Aquinas is poised to make an even stronger impact in the future. Joe Lockey found a goal in the 62nd minute to make it a tie game at 1-1. Ricardo Rittersberger then clenched the win with a goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Mason Sills. Ivan Radovic hit a career high of 11 saves to help AQ prevail. The Saints now boast a 13-4-1 overall record, with an 8-3-1 mark in conference play.
