Aquinas Bowling announces media partnership

Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas College Bowling programs are excited to announce a media partnership with Real Experience Ball Reviews (REX). The Grand Rapids Media company has a unique platform with a focus on providing real-world, in-depth bowling content. REX's goal is to help both casual players and serious competitors make informed decisions about their bowling equipment, with testing the latest bowling balls across different brands and conditions.

REX is comprised of a diverse group of local and out of state bowlers. Every member of the team is heavily involved in bowling with a team comprised of personnel with varying backgrounds, content creators, PBA professional players, and local amateur players. Each member of the team brings their own unique perspective on bowling equipment, bringing the audience a true review experience. REX represents a broad spectrum of bowling brands, meaning the reviews aren't biased toward any one company. Each member is extremely passionate about bowling, and are working to help grow the sport.

This group includes:

  • Theo Johnson - REX's owner and marketing lead
  • Chad Reiffer - a USBC Open Eagle Winner
  • Lance Hill - a Tik-Tok Bowling Star
  • Andrew Halvorson - a 2022 Storm True Amatuer Tournament winner
  • David Northouse - a pro shop and touring PBA pro
  • Brandon Tarabek - a 2-11 USBC Open Eagle winner
  • Justin Knowles - a two-time Michigan Masters champion and PBA National Touring Pro
  • Nate Purches - a two time PBA regional champion and a PBA National Touring Pro
  • Eric Harmsen - a Royal Rumble champion
  • Connor Pilmore - branding and apparel

On top of that, REX creates content around bowling techniques, training tips, behind-the-scenes PBA cinematography, and heartfelt stories about the staffers chasing national championship titles. REX is always evolving to the communities content desires and needs.

This sponsorship is an exciting opportunity for both Aquinas College and Real Experience Ball Reviews. The partnership opens doors to enhancing athletes future prospects in several ways. With Real Experience Ball Review's established media presence, the Aquinas team will have the opportunity for more visibility not just in the college bowling scene but also in the broader bowling community across REX's different media accounts equaling over 78,000 subscribers.

For the AQ athletes, this visibility has the possibility to lead to future opportunities, whether it's being scouted for bowling companies or getting access to scholarships and other collegiate opportunities. REX plans to be creating content around the teams journey for Aquinas, featuring player interviews, player profiles, behind-the-scenes Aquinas practice sessions, short form content, and even ball reviews and bowl-off's with team members showcasing their equipment. By broadcasting their skills and development through REX, Aquinas will be on the radar of bowling industry professionals who might not have let them slip through their sights originally.

This is what REX owner and marketing lead, Theo Johnson, had to share on the partnership, "I'm grateful for this opportunity to help grow Aquinas' bowling program with Real Experience Ball Reviews. Sharing and capturing the team's journey and vision throughout the season is exciting not only for the players, but for their families and local bowling community!"

Here is what AQ Bowling Head Coach Harold Klukowski had to share about this new partnership, "We are excited to jump into the world of social media content. This will bring a lot of fun opportunities for the bowling athletes here at Aquinas to get their name out in the bowling world as REX has a lot of subscribers and followers over multiple platforms. We hope to make this a strong partnership going forward and are excited about the possibilities for both REX and AQ bowling."
