Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas College men's hockey team took to the ice for game two of their two-game series with Rochester Christian. The Saints defeated the Warriors the night previous (Nov. 8) with a score of 7-3, returning AQ to the winning column. Aquinas looked to build off last nights win and hope for a series sweep, and they did just that. The Saints took the game home with a score of 11-0.

With the opening puck drop, AQ instantly looked to reestablish their momentum from their win the night previous. RCU kept the Saints back for the first half of the period but AQ managed their breakthrough with 8:50 remaining.
Alex Johnson collected the first goal with assists from
Gavin Rozema, and
Brendan Bourne. AQ tallied another with 7:58 on the clock, this time
Jack Jeffreys found the score with Johnson and
Matt Denhartigh on the assists.
Aquinas popped in a third goal within four minutes at 5:05 remaining, this time as
Brody Traxler finished one in off a Jeffreys pass. As the first period came to wind down,
Gavin Rozema tallied one more for the Saints with 43 seconds on the clock. Bourne and Johnson notched the assists.
With the horn, both teams exited the ice as AQ stood strong with a 4-0 start.
The second period saw Aquinas explode further as the team went on to collect six goals. Bourne opened up the shooting gallery with assists from
Ben Cesario and
Brayden Cramer. Bourne found another just three minutes later, this time assisted by Cramer and Rozema. Next, Rozema notched another goal with a pass from
Christian Look (PP). Less than 90 seconds later, Matt Denartigh got a piece of the action with Zach Burns and
Evan Doan on the combination passing (PP).
After another 90 second sequence Burns returned to the score sheet, this time as the goal earner, as he buried one in with Denhartigh on the pass (PP).The final goal of the period was a result from Johnson with touches by Look, and
Easton Pratt with 5:11 still on the clock in the second. The remaining time did not see an additional goal in the period.
However, the Saints did managed to break into the +10 club as Doan found the lone goal in the third giving the team their 11th goal. Doan was assisted by
Justin Lagrow and Denhartigh (PP).
