Grand Rapids, Mich. – The No. 5-rated Aquinas College women's soccer team dominated the semifinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament on Saturday (Nov. 9). The Saints victory over Lourdes sealed AQ a spot in the WHAC Tournament finals. Aquinas found one goal in each half to give them a 2-0 win over the Gray Wolves.

The Saints controlled the game from the start, allowing no shots from the Gray Wolves in the first half while firing off 13 attempts themselves. Persistence paid off as Sydney Shenk broke through in the 25th minute, scoring the opening goal with an assist from Brittney Probst.
In the second half, Aquinas kept up their pressure, limiting Lourdes to just two shots, both of which were kept off the scoreboard. The Saints sealed the game when Shenk claimed her second goal in the 87th minute, set up by an assist from Emily Gignac. This win clinches the Saints' place in the WHAC Tournament finals
