Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas College men's ice hockey team competed in the final round of the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Tournament on Saturday (Dec. 7) as the Saints faced off with No. 21-rated Davenport. AQ kept the pace with DU but the Panthers earned their first swipe with a powerplay goal in the first. Aquinas etched their determination in the ice but were unable to find the back of the net. With the final horn, the Panthers secured the win 4-0.

With the opening puck drop the two teams began to once again study one another as this was the third time they held the ice together this season. The battle of possession started swiftly as both teams looked for the advantage. The Panthers found it first as they opened the evening's scoring with a powerplay nearing the halfway mark in the first period. Both teams kept the battle afoot but neither managed to find the back of the net for the remainder of the period.

In the second period, the Panthers found three additional goals, two of which came from powerplays. The second period did not see any further score, nor did the third period. The final horn in the third period brought the Grand Rapids Hall of Fame Tournament to a close with a 4-0 Panther victory.
