Southfield, Mich. — The Aquinas College tennis teams made way for Southfield, Michigan, to take on Lawrence Tech in conference play. The Blue Devils put on a strong showing in both contest as they went on and sweeps both with a scores of 7-0.
Men:
The Saints were unable to pull out wins against the Blue Devils, but the best performance belonged to
Tom Gangov and
Jackson VanBergen as they faltered in first doubles with a 6-4 final.
Gagnov also had the closest finish in singles with (6-2 & 6-4 decisions).
Women:
Number one doubles,
Carlota Arzabe and
Ruth Rabaut, managed to win their bout, 6-4.
Megan Hearn and
Alyssa Jack were short with a 6-4 final, while
Evelynn Matzke and
Hannah Lourido fell to a 6-3 decision.
Singles is where LTU shined through as they took each contest.
The women found a similar result to the men as they also fell to a 7-0 finish.
