Evan Doan Commits to AQ Hockey and Lacrosse

Grand Rapids, Mich. – The AQ men's lacrosse and men's hockey teams are thrilled to announce that Evan Doan will be suiting up for the Saints next season. Doan attended Harrison High School and currently resides in Evansville, Indiana. He will officially begin his athletic and academic careers in the fall as he intends to pursue a degree in clinical exercise science.

Doan has experienced plenty of success both on the ice and on the field. He was named First Team All-Conference in both hockey and lacrosse, while also being named All-State during his time on the Harrison Raiders varsity lacrosse team.

Playing for the Evansville Thunder, he helped the team win conference and finish as the 3A State Runner-Up, earning the Thunder a USA Hockey National Championship Qualifier.
"Evan is someone who I have been in contact with over the years as he is from the same town where I played juniors in," stated men's hockey head coach Brandon Rozema. "He comes to us with good junior hockey experience and is a player that I think will be able to provide great offensive upside to our lineup. I'm looking forward to having in play in different situations for us that will help the team win."

Doan comes to Aquinas after playing five sports in high school. He played 16 years for the Evansville Thunder, including four years on the varsity team. He also played lacrosse, football, baseball, and track for the Harrison Raiders.
