Arianna Black Announced as Latest Addition to Women's Volleyball

Grand Rapids, Mich. – The AQ women's volleyball team, along with head coach Ryan Campbell, are excited to announce Arianna Black as one of the newest additions to the team. Black recently graduated from Whitehall High School and currently resides in Whitehall. She will begin her athletic and academic careers for the Saints next month as she plans to pursue a Pre-Law degree.

Black was a part of the Whitehall Vikings in 2020 and 2021 when the volleyball team claimed back-to-back conference titles. Individually, she was named All-Conference three times as one of the premier hitters on the Vikings, racking up over 300 kills each of the past two seasons.

"Arianna has great timing on her block and does a great job of hitting around the opponents' block," stated Coach Campbell on Black.

Outside of playing for the Vikings, Black competed for MVA and Inside Out Volleyball for club. She also competed in track and field, specializing in the high jump. She won two conference and regional championships and was named to her All-Conference team twice.

When asked what about AQ made her the most excited, this was what Black had to offer: "I am most excited to meet a new team and go through new experiences with them! I choose AQ because they fit my learning style as a student and their team culture!"
