Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich. — Wednesday night on the Aquinas Athletic Field featured the final home regular season contest for the Saints, as they hosted the Warriors of Rochester Christian in a make-up of Senior Night — originally slated for two weeks ago against UM-Dearborn. That game was postponed after the Wolverines were stuck in traffic, and, fittingly enough, the rescheduled version brought a similar twist. Rochester arrived late after being caught in a standstill of their own and a mix-up on the start time (they thought it was 7:00 p.m., not 6:00). But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait — and patience paid off for the Saints, who cruised to a commanding 5-0 victory to make it two straight wins heading into the regular season finale this Saturday.
Aquinas 5, Rochester Christian 0
Aquinas wasted no time jumping on the board, with Bryce Schaner finding the back of the net just over three minutes in off a setup from Evan Goodfellow. The same duo connected again at the 20-minute mark, this time with Carson Tucker earning the assist to make it 2-0. The Saints continued their first-half dominance when Goodfellow scored in the 39th minute from a perfect feed by Fikret Hasovic.
In the second half, Tucker joined the scoring party with a goal of his own, assisted again by the red-hot Goodfellow, who finished the night with one goal and three assists. Senior Colin Bailey capped the night's scoring in the 86th minute, converting a pass from Amos Mechtenberg-Berrigan to put an exclamation point on the win.
The Saints' defense was anchored by Trae Collins, whose remarkable two-way play and leadership kept Rochester off balance all night while setting the tone for Aquinas' back line. Goalkeepers Peyton Huffman and Antonio Serraiocco combined for the shutout, as the Saints dominated the stat sheet with a 24–8 shot advantage and five corner kicks.
With the win, Aquinas improves to 4-7-3 overall and 3-5-2 in WHAC play; in defeat, the Warriors fall to 1-12-3 overall and 0-7-3 in the WHAC.

Head Coach Luke Ruff spoke about Senior Night and how his team is rounding into form at the right time:
"Tonight was special — not just because it was Senior Night, but because of how connected we played from start to finish. The guys are trusting each other, moving the ball with confidence, and playing our brand of Saints soccer. It's exactly the momentum we want heading into the postseason."
