Grand Rapids, Mich. — Aquinas College Softball is proud to announce the addition of Kionna Jackson to the 2025-26 Saints roster. A versatile third baseman and pitcher from Parchment High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Kionna will continue her academic and athletic career with the Saints.

Kionna has built a strong athletic background, excelling in multiple sports throughout high school:

·         Three-year varsity softball player at Parchment High School

·         Two-year varsity basketball player

·         Travel softball experience

·         Personal best pitching performance: Allowed only one hit in a tournament game

Head Coach Brad Koch is excited about Kionna's addition to the program: "Kionna is a leader on the field and in the dugout. She always gives 100%, hustles on and off the field, and is highly competitive in the circle."

When asked about her decision to join Aquinas, Kionna highlighted the well-rounded experience the college offers:

"First and foremost, Aquinas College offers an exceptional environment that aligns perfectly with my academic and athletic aspirations. The institution's commitment to fostering a balanced student-athlete experience was a significant factor in my decision. I am impressed by the college's dedication to academic excellence, which ensures that I can pursue my educational goals while excelling on the softball field.

Moreover, the softball program at Aquinas College is renowned for its competitive spirit and supportive community. The coaching staff's expertise and their genuine interest in developing players both on and off the field made a lasting impression on me. I am confident that under their guidance, I will be able to enhance my skills, contribute to the team's success, and grow as an individual.

Lastly, the welcoming atmosphere at Aquinas College played a crucial role in my decision. The opportunity to form lasting relationships with teammates who share a common passion for softball is something I deeply value. I believe that the friendships and experiences I will gain here will play a big role in shaping my future, both personally and professionally. Also, it's not too far from my mom."

The Saints are thrilled to welcome Kionna to the program and look forward to the impact she will make both on and off the field!
