Box Score 2 Rockford, Mich. – In their final non-conference tune-up before WHAC play, the Aquinas baseball team extended its winning streak to six games with a dominant doubleheader sweep over Grace Christian on Tuesday. The Saints exploded for 19 runs in the opener before capping the night with a well-rounded 7-1 victory in game two at the Meijer Sports Complex.
Game 1: Aquinas 19, Grace Christian 2
Aquinas wasted no time showcasing its offensive firepower, plating nine runs in the first three innings to seize early control. Dylan Nguyen's two-run homer in the third ignited a seven-run frame, where the Saints sent 12 batters to the plate. AQ continued its relentless attack with multi-run innings in the fourth, fifth, and sixth, tallying a season-high 19 hits in the lopsided win.
On the mound, Sean Page and Sam Pollack combined for seven strong innings, allowing just three hits while striking out nine. Grace Christian briefly cut into the lead in the third inning, but the Saints' pitching staff shut down any further threats. Drew Mitchell led the charge with five RBIs, while Nguyen and Landon Mueller each drove in four.

The nightcap was a more balanced effort, with Aquinas using timely hitting and solid pitching to secure the sweep. The Saints broke a scoreless tie in the third when Luke LaCross tripled home a run, followed by an RBI sacrifice fly from Eric Bryce. Grace Christian answered with a run in the fourth, but AQ responded in the sixth, plating four insurance runs to put the game away.
Ramsey Bousseau delivered a key two-run single in the decisive inning, while LaCross added another RBI hit to extend the lead. On the mound, Aidan Schauss earned the win with four innings of one-run ball, striking out two. Brendan Burch and Aaron Moore closed it out with three combined shutout frames.

Head Coach Chris LaMange praised his team's performance and depth following the twinbill:
"It was a great night at the ballpark for the Saints. Unbelievable weather for the middle of March, and it was a great opportunity for a lot of guys to get a chance to play a full game. We started two completely different lineups, and everybody contributed. Tonight was definitely a true team effort."
