GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A motor that never quit, a lacrosse IQ beyond his years, and a fearless drive to take over games—Collin Wildman's sophomore season was everything Aquinas College could ask for and more. The West Catholic alum and Grand Rapids native turned heads across the country en route to being named a 2025 NAIA Second Team All-American, one of the highest honors in collegiate lacrosse.

Wildman, a 6-foot midfielder with a knack for delivering when it mattered most, became a consistent force for the Saints this spring. In 16 starts, he racked up 22 goals and 13 assists for 35 total points, while leading all midfielders on the roster with 63 ground balls and tallying 23 caused turnovers—a stat line that speaks volumes to his two-way dominance.

"Collin is one of those rare players who impacts every aspect of the game—offense, defense, transition, even the energy during a time-out," said Head Coach Peter Treppa.

A Season to Remember

The sophomore wasted no time announcing himself as a game-changer. In the season opener against Ottawa (Kan.), Wildman exploded for 4 goals and 2 assists, setting the tone for what would become a highlight-filled year. He continued to produce against top-level NAIA competition, including a 4-goal outing against Tennessee Wesleyan and a balanced 3-goal, 1-assist game vs. Taylor. But it wasn't just scoring—Wildman's relentless hustle showed up on ground balls, where he led the midfield corps and was often the spark in fast break transitions.

As Aquinas battled through a demanding WHAC schedule, Wildman remained a steady contributor, helping guide the Saints to an 11-5 overall record and a second-place finish in the WHAC Tournament. Whether scooping a tough ground ball in traffic or dodging through contact to find the back of the net, he provided exactly what the Saints needed.

Inside the Numbers

  • 35 total points (22 goals, 13 assists) in 16 starts
  • Shot .310 with 57.7% shots on goal
  • Recorded 63 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers
  • Registered points in 12 of 16 games, including six multi-point performances

A Star on the Rise

For a sophomore, earning Second Team All-American status is no small feat—but for Wildman, it's just the beginning. With two years of eligibility remaining, the ceiling remains high. As the Saints continue to build a national presence, Wildman is poised to be one of the cornerstones of the program's next chapter.

"He puts in the work when no one's watching—early film sessions, extra reps after practice, you name it," said Treppa. "This honor is well-deserved, and we know there's more to come."

With his relentless work ethic, team-first mindset, and flair for the moment, Collin Wildman is not just a name to remember at Aquinas—he's becoming a name recognized across the country and within the NAIA.
