High School: Prepped at Edgewater High School under head coach Rabon Smith..... Team captain of the Eagles squad during his junior and senior season...... Also played football and wrestled.... Captain for his football team junior and senior season....... Earned Defensive Player of the Year and the Coaches Award his senior season (2016) for the Eagles.... Sam was in many clubs; He was a member of the National Honor Society, BETA club, Interact club (Community service club), and he was a senator in Student Government.

Personal: Son of Abena Poku...... Majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Communications. Loves spending time with his family and going to the beach with friends.
