Biography

Chris Steffan enters his senior year with Aquinas Baseball bringing extensive experience, leadership and an accomplished athletic résumé to the Saints. A Biology major and Oakland Christian graduate, Steffan earned All-State honors and Team MVP recognition during his prep career while helping his program capture a district championship in 2021. He played baseball for 15 years, including four seasons as a varsity starter, and spent many years competing with Oakland Express. Steffan also played varsity basketball during his final two years of high school. He chose Aquinas for the opportunity to continue his athletic career while receiving a strong education in Grand Rapids and defines success through preparing himself for medical school while developing lifelong relationships and memories. His interest in medicine has an interesting early connection—Steffan had his appendix removed while in sixth grade.
