Jon Popp brings academic excellence and competitive experience to Aquinas Baseball. A two-time NJCAA First Team All-Academic selection and Aquinas All-Academic honoree, Popp pairs classroom discipline with steady development on the field. One of his standout moments includes being part of a team that set the record for most runs scored in a single game.

He chose Aquinas because of the relationships he built with former teammates, along with the coaching staff, facilities, and campus location. Popp defines success as overall development — both as a player and as a person — crediting the coaching staff and university environment for helping him grow.

A unique experience: he has been dogsledding. He also enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.
