Samaya Dean brings championship experience and multi-sport athleticism to Aquinas following a strong high school career at Grand Rapids Catholic Central. A high school State Champion, Dean earned All-State and All-Conference recognition while helping her team capture conference and regional titles during her varsity tenure. She also competed in track and field, basketball, and volleyball, showcasing her versatility and competitive drive. Dean gained additional high-level experience playing club lacrosse for Summit.

She chose Aquinas for its culture and supportive academic environment, valuing the close relationships she has formed with professors who are invested in student success. Dean defines success as continuing to grow both on the field and in the classroom while giving her full effort in appreciation of those who have poured time and energy into her development.

Outside of sports, she enjoys R&B music and counts both the Fast & Furious franchise and Bad Boys among her favorite films.
