Aquinas College

Freshman Nicholas Brandsma begins his collegiate hockey career while pursuing degrees in Accounting and Finance. A native of Cadillac, Michigan, and graduate of Cadillac Senior High School, Brandsma brings a diverse athletic background and a lifelong passion for hockey to Aquinas.

Brandsma earned All-Conference honors during all three years of his high school hockey career and was selected to the Second Team Dream Team as a senior. In addition to hockey, he also competed in tennis, baseball, golf and track while gaining valuable travel hockey experience with the West Michigan Hawks.

Nicholas chose Aquinas because it offered both collegiate hockey and the academic program he was seeking. He hopes to enjoy every moment of his college experience while continuing to grow as both a student and athlete. A unique fun fact is that he was adopted at birth.
