Stephen Treppa is in his fifth season on the Saints coaching staff and has served as the offensive coordinator throughout his time at AQ. It is his ninth year as a collegiate coach, also serving as an assistant coach at Grand Valley State for four years. During the previous four seasons at Aquinas, Treppa and the Saints own a 30-14 record.
Treppa served as co-interim head coach for AQ in 2021. The team has made a pair of National Tournament appearances in the last four years. Aquinas improved from 8-8 in 2018 to a 12-5 record in 2019, earning the program's first bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The tournament was hosted at Aquinas and the Saints won their first two tournament games before falling in the national championship game to defending champion Reinhardt.
In 2022, AQ finished 11-5 and received its second bid to the NAIA National Tournament. The Saints advanced to the national semifinals, before falling to Reinhardt in the final four.
Treppa earned a bachelor of arts in exercise science from Albion in 2014. He also coaches for the East Grand Rapids Pride 5th/6th, as well as Omina Lacrosse.
