Grand Rapids, Michigan – Grand Rapids Union High School – Sport Management & Business Administration

Gerardo Montañez was a standout at Union High School, earning all-conference and all-district honors three times, along with two all-region selections and second team all-state recognition as a senior. He helped his team capture a conference championship in high school and has also won titles at both Davenport University and Aquinas. Montañez began playing at age nine, competing for Michigan Fire and spending three years on varsity. Drawn to Aquinas for its culture, he is committed to learning and developing both in his career and on the pitch. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, volleyball, futsal, watching the movie Creed, and listening to corridos and rap.
