Maurisa “MJ” Mikus is a decorated future Saint from Howell with a long list of athletic accolades. A two-time Livingston County Second Team honoree and two-time KLAA All-Conference West selection, she also earned Detroit News All-Metro Honorable Mention twice and received the BCAM Team First Award for leadership. MJ helped guide Howell to district and conference championships in 2023 and 2024 while lettering in basketball, volleyball, and softball. She played AAU basketball with both the Michigan Mystics and Michigan Premier programs. MJ chose Aquinas for its beautiful campus and smaller, personal learning environment that contrasts with her large high-school experience. She aims to use AQ’s academic and athletic resources effectively while mastering time management. Her favorite hobby is painting.
