Marvin Hardy serves as the Head Coach of the Aquinas College Women’s Lacrosse program, bringing years of coaching experience, a strong record of competitive success, and a passion for player development to the Saints.
Coach Hardy joins AQ after a highly successful tenure as the Varsity Head Coach at DeWitt High School from 2016 to 2025, where he led the program to consecutive MHSAA State Semifinal appearances in 2021 and 2022, along with back-to-back Regional Championships in those same years. His leadership earned him Lansing State Journal Coach of the Year honors five times. He also served as an assistant coach for Michigan State University’s Club Division II team and worked as a Summer Lacrosse Club Director from 2023 to 2025.
Hardy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University and a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. During his time at Northern Michigan, he was honored as the Outstanding Graduating Senior in the Health and Physical Education department—an early indication of his leadership and dedication to the field.
A passionate and well-rounded individual, Coach Hardy enjoys working out, golfing, and camping in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He is an avid concertgoer—especially enjoying country and rock music—and closely follows his favorite teams: the Lions, Pistons, Tigers, Red Wings, as well as both Michigan and Michigan State athletics.
Residing in Grand Ledge, Michigan, Coach Hardy shares his life with his fiancée Tammy and their dog Gunner. He is also a proud father of three, with two daughters living in North Carolina and a son who will be attending Michigan Tech in the fall.
When asked why he chose Aquinas, Coach Hardy shared: “I chose Aquinas for the outgoing staff and students. When I visited for my interview, it was clear that AQ had a strong, positive community. The campus is beautiful and the athletic department clearly had a strong determination to excellence.”
With his blend of competitive experience, leadership, and community-focused values, Coach Hardy is ready to guide Aquinas Women’s Lacrosse into a new era of success.
