Biography
Defender Emily Gignac, from Commerce Township, Michigan, has made her mark both on the field and in the classroom. A graduate of Walled Lake Northern High School, she was a two-time all-conference and all-state honoree, earning three district championships and a state cup title during her prep career. At Aquinas, she has continued to excel, earning WHAC All-Academic honors and recognition for her impact on the Saints. A seasoned competitor with 14 years of soccer experience, including four on the varsity level, Gignac also ran cross country in high school. Studying elementary education, she chose Aquinas for its welcoming atmosphere and beautiful campus. Her advice to future Saints is to manage time wisely, and when she’s not training or competing, she enjoys snowboarding, lifting, reading, and hiking.
