Aquinas College

Graduate student Bella Hommes, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Management with a minor in Leadership and is completing her master’s in Business Management. Her volleyball resume includes being a two-year high school co-captain, a four-time Forest Hills Northern Gold Academic Achievement Award recipient, a three-time Academic All-State Team honoree, and earning multiple All-Conference and All-Region honors. At Eastern Michigan University, she collected Academic All-District and Academic All-MAC honors three times each. At Aquinas, Bella has been named First Team All-Conference, Libero of the Year, Honorable Mention All-Region, and All-District, and has twice been WHAC Defensive Player of the Week. She helped lead AQ to WHAC Conference, Tournament, and Regional Championships. Bella has played volleyball for 12 years, including club competition with MVA, Far Out, and Legacy. She chose Aquinas for its proximity to family and friends, the positive team culture, and the opportunity to rediscover her love for the sport. She enjoys shopping, spending time with loved ones, and watching the Creed movies.
