Biography
Redshirt senior Mel Beachnau is from Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from Lansing Catholic in 2021. Majoring in Sociology with a Criminal Justice concentration and minors in Women and Gender Studies and Developmental Psychology, she was named to the All-Academic Team and earned MIVCA Honorable Mention All-State honors in high school. Mel has played volleyball for 13 years, including two on varsity, and competed for Attack Volleyball Club. She chose Aquinas for its welcoming and supportive team atmosphere, which made the transition from high school to college seamless. Mel values the strong relationships she’s built and the professors who have guided her toward her academic and career goals. Fun fact: she has a twin and holds a black belt in Taekwondo.
