Head coach
Doug Seites and the men's lacrosse program have announced the next signing in their 2020 recruiting class, adding Nolan Benoit of Macomb, Michigan.
Benoit will join the Saints after a highly successful prep career at Dakota High School in Macomb, Michigan. As a junior last season, Benoit helped lead Dakota to an undefeated MAC White championship while being named team Offensive Player of the Year. As a sophomore, Benoit earned All-Conference and 2nd-team All-County honors as an attackman, and last year was named All-Conference and 1st-team All-County as a midfielder. Benoit currently holds the school record for goals in a game with seven and is Dakota's all-time leading scorer after just his junior year.
Benoit has been playing lacrosse for over nine years, and has played his summer travel ball with Team One, Motor City Select, and 586 Lacrosse.
"We are thrilled to add Nolan to the program starting next fall," said Coach Seites. "Nolan is a very talented offensive player with a lot of potential. He is a lefty who can score in a variety of ways, while also showing the ability to break down defenses and distribute. He's a great fit for our offense with his skill and versatility, and he's a guy who has proven he wants to be a Saint and will work hard to reach his goals."
"What made me choose Aquinas was how family oriented the team is and the knowledgeable coaching staff they have along with being very competitive," said Benoit. "I'm excited to be a student-athlete at such a fine institution." He will study Marketing at Aquinas College.
