The women's soccer team defeated Olivet 7-0 on homecoming day for its second consecutive victory. The team improved to 5-1-1 on the season and is third in the WHAC standings. Two Saints scored a hat trick in the match.

AQ celebrated homecoming and the blessing of the refurbished AQ Athletic Field with a dominating performance from start to finish that saw
Hannah Crum and
Danni McKenzie score three goals each. McKenzie scored the first two goals of the game only four seconds apart in the 11th minute. Her first goal came off of assists by
Shelby Baxter and
Jenna Smith. McKenzie scored on a penalty kick immediately after that when
Raegan Radaz drew a foul in the box.

Hannah Crum followed McKenzie's tallies with a goal in the 29th minute on a shot to the top corner off of a pass from the right side. In the 35th minute, she scored a free kick from outside of the box bending the ball past the goalkeeper.
Jenna Konwerski scored in the 37th minute and AQ led 5-0 at the half.

In the second half, McKenzie put away her second penalty of the match in the 63rd minute. Crum scored her third goal of the match on another free kick that was hit with enough pace to beat the goalkeeper even though it deflected off of her hands.

AQ held a big advantage in shots with 28 (13 on goal). McKenzie led the team in shots with six (four on goal) while Crum was the leader in shots on goal with five (five shots overall).
Jenna Smith had four shots (one on goal) and
Filippa Struxsjo had three (one on goal) while
Emma Gould,
Millie Templeman and Konwerski had two shots.

The Saints held possession of the ball for most of the match and only allowed Olivet to have five total shots for the match (two on goal).

Aquinas returns to the field on Saturday, September 28th when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to face WHAC rival Indiana Tech. The match is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
