The Saints men's hockey team geared up for the second game against Lawrence Tech yesterday (Oct. 23) where they earned a 4-1 victory against the Blue Devils. Aquinas saw four different Saints find the back of the net in the Saturday matchup.
The Blue Devils were the first team to strike when they scored at 19:01 of the first period during a power play. The Saints then responded when sophomore
Luke Richesin scored at 9:50 when he was assisted by
Mason Stewart.
The Saints then scored twice in the second period to put them up 3-1. The first came at 5:40 from
Nick Stockert when he was assisted by
Mike Curran and
Dylan Rumpke. Curran then had another assist when he fed freshman,
Christian Look for a goal with 18 seconds left in period. The Saints had one more goal when they scored with 31 seconds left in the third period when
Darren Johnson scored unassisted.
AQ is back in action Friday, October 29 for its first contest against Michigan-Dearborn. The puck drops at 8:00 PM at Southside Arena in Byron Center, Michigan.
