Women's Lacrosse Bring On Local Talent in Jessie Peterson

The Aquinas women's lacrosse program and head coach Angelica Gero is excited to announce the signing of Hastings, Michigan resident Jessie Peterson. The attacker will join the Saints for her academic and athletic career after completing her senior season at Caledonia High School.

When asked about her most recent signee, head coach Angelica Gero said "I am really excited that Jessie will be joining us this coming in this fall! She brings a lot of intensity to the offensive side of the ball. She is a great addition to our team and I can't wait to see what she is capable of through the next few years with us."

Peterson has been playing the sport since fifth grade. While playing at Caledonia for her high school team, she also played for Pure Advantage Lacrosse this past summer. Aside from being on varsity lacrosse, she has played basketball, track, and cross country during her high school career.

Upon arriving at Aquinas, Peterson plans to study education. When asked what she's most excited about at Aquinas, she answered, "I'm most excited to be playing lacrosse for the school. I think it is a great sport to be apart of and you can meet and make new friends while playing."
