The WHAC Conference announced on Monday (Feb. 28) that Clayton Boerigter has been named WHAC Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row. This award comes after the Saints knocked off the #5 team in the nation this past weekend.
In the matchup Sunday against the #5 Columbia Cougars, Boerigter faced 24 shots on the day and was able to save 13 of them. After this game, Boerigter's goals-against average sits at 9.18 and his save percentage sits at 64%. With his efforts and the Saints win, the men will look to move into the top ten during the next coaches poll.
This is Boerigter's second consecutive time earning the conference award this season and his third overall.
Boerigter and the rest of the Saints will be back in action on March 16, when the play in Holland, Michigan against Hope College. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
