Women's Lacrosse Secures Comeback Win Against Indiana Tech.

The women's lacrosse team was back in action tonight as they played against the Indiana Tech Warriors. After being down by five goals in the second half the Saints were able to secure the comeback win by a score of 11-10.
 
The Saints continue to improve this season with a record of 6-4 and 2-0 in conference play. The Warriors fall to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
 
The Saints got on the board quickly with an unassisted goal from Cierra Davis within the first two minutes. The Saints were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the quarter, while the Warriors found it three times.
 
Then in the second quarter, both teams scored three times. The Saints saw goals from Megan Moffat, Kennadie Minerich, and Naomi Plant. At the half Tech lead Aquinas 6-4.
 
Azariah Wells played the first half in goal and faced a total of 18 shots on goal. She was able to save a total of 12 shots.
 
Then in the third quarter, the Warriors started off hot with three goals. The Saints would then start to mount a comeback lead by Cierra Davis. She had three goals within about two minutes. Alexis Villarini was able to score a man-up goal at the end of the quarter to bring the Saints within one.
 
In the fourth, Tech would score a man-up goal at 10:29 in the period to put them up 10-8. Aquinas dialed it from here to mount a comeback with three unanswered goals from Kennadie Minerich (2) and Naomi Plant to give the Saints the win.
 
Jordan Gardner played the second half at goalie where she saw seven shots and she was able to save three of them to secure the win.
 
In the game Aquinas when 24-24 on clears to Indiana Tech's 24-28. Then AQ had 35 ground balls to the Warriors 37 and both teams had 31 shots in the game.
 
The Saints hit the road this weekend when they play against receiving votes Concordia on Saturday. The game will begin at 11:00 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
