Today the men's and women's track and field programs were in action for their second last chance meet this week at the St. Francis Last Chance Meet. At the conclusion of the two day meet the Saints walked away with two relays hitting standards and one individual hitting an automatic standard

Beginning in men's 4x800 the quartet of
Will Finch,
Will Westveer,
Caleb Hodgkinson, and
Zander Masten bettered their provisional mark to an automatic qualifier. Their time of 7:42 not only automatically qualified them, but it also won the event.

Sticking with relays, the women's 4x100 hit a provisional standard in the event. The team of
Casey Lenon,
Tarshana Kimbrough,
Mia Stankiewicz, and
Shanna Han ran a time of 48.16 to place third for the provisional qualifier.

Later in the day, Kimbrough was back in action in the 400 meter dash. She finished with a time of 56.07 to move her to second all-time at Aquinas and also earned an automatic qualifier.

The hits kept coming as
Maggie Whitney bettered her B standard in the 800 to an automatic time of 2:13.Â
Then two more provisional standards came from
Cyrus Prudhomme and
Adam Bailey. In the 100 meters, Prudhomme ran 10.57 to earn the standard and third all time in the event. Then in the 400 hurdles,
Adam Bailey ran 54.32 to provisionally qualify and rank third all time in Aquinas history.
On Friday,
Ben Hardy represented AQ in the steeplechase. Having previously hit a B standard mark, Hardy bettered his time to earn an automatic qualifier. His time of 9:14 moves him into fifth on the Saints all-time list.

Then on the women's side of the event,
Emily McManus ran a time of 11:33 to place sixth in the event. Her time moves her into fifth all time at Aquinas.
In the 200 two Saints made the top five list. First for the women,
Casey Lenon ran 25.03 to be the fifth fastest Saint in history. Then for the men,
Lawrence Young ran 21.71 to place fourth all time.Â
Finally,
Kaylee Diamond posted a career best in the long jump of with a jump of 18-5 1/4. This distance puts her third in Saints history.Â

The Saints will end their season when they travel down to Gulf Shores, Alabama for the NAIA Outdoor Championships. The meet will be held over the course of three days starting on Wednesday, May 25.
