Augusta, Mich. — Aquinas women's golf headed to Augusta, to compete in a two-day WHAC Fall Preview. The first day was tournament play, while the second was a pairing of head to head's against Rochester, then Indiana Tech. AQ shot a 352, placing them in ninth out of eleven teams. While Northwestern Ohio won the event with an overall showing of 308. For the second day, Aquinas went on to defeat both Rochester and Indiana Tech in the flight three bracket.
Sophomore
Mara Brydges had the best showing on the team with an 86, placing her T-21st.
Freshmen
Jayda Kerns took T-26th with an 87, and Grace Berembrock nabbed T-35th with an 89.
Junior
Emma Franklin was just behind Berembrock with a showing of 90, giving her T-40th place.
Senior
Brooke Kalisz finished the squad with a 92, establishing her at T-44th.
Day two of competition Aquinas battled it out in stroke play, facing off against Rochester and Indiana Tech.
Aquinas defeated Rochester in the first stage of play, then later defeated Indiana Tech 3.5-1.5.
In the flight three championship match, Kalisz tied in here head to head granting the team half a point. Kerns and Franklin won their matches claiming two additional points for AQ. Brydges won her match by player withdrawl. Giving the Saints the 3.5-1.5 victory over Indiana Tech.
The ladies are back on Oct. 8-10 for a three day competition at The Nightmare & The Dream Golf Course for the LTU Blue Devil Classic hosted by Lawrence Tech.
