Georgetown, Kentucky - The women's lacrosse team was back on the field today for their second of three games in Kentucky, taking on the receiving votes Georgetown. Although the two teams entered the half tied, the Saints would prevail 22-13 after a big second. AQ improves to 2-1 this season.

Georgetown would net the first two goals of the game, with the second coming at 10:36. AQ would get on the board thirty second later though as
Alex Sullivan scored AQ's first goal with the assist coming from
Kennadie Minerich. Minerich would then even the game up at 8:58 with a score of her own. AQ would have their first lead of the game with two goals coming from
Cierra Davis and
Trinity Reynoso. Georgetown would climb back though with two man-down goals coming at 5:33 and 4:51 to tie the game at four a piece. In the final two minutes Minerich would net another goal while the opponent scored twice. Geogetown would lead 6-5 entering the second quarter.

Niya Couch and Minerich would each bag a goal within the first four minutes of the quarter before Georgetown would answer with three more goals to put them up 9-7. Davis and
Stella Bottum would help the Saints even the game before the half with each team having scored nine times.

AQ would come out of the half scoring five times to Georgetown's one. Goals would come from Bottum,
McKenna Burke, Couch (2), and Minerich. The Saints would blow the game open in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponents 8-3. In the period alone,
Stella Bottum would score three times, while the five other goals came from Couch, Minerich, Davis, Sullivan, and Burke. This would give the Saints the 22-13 victory.

Azariah Wells would spend 60 minutes in goal and record two saves while having thirteen goals against her.

Minerich and Bottum would both notch five goals while Minerich would assist on six other goals for 11 points.

AQ returns to action on Wednesday, March 15 when they play against the Thomas More. The contest begins at 2:00 PM in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
