The men's track and field team began their 2023 outdoor campaign when traveling for two locations for competition today. The Saints competed at the Bill Bippes Cougar Classic in Spring Arbor while also sending Saints to the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing.

The highest finishers from today's contests came from the Pole Vault with
Emmanuel Farage vaulting 3.90 meters for the victory.
Joe Farage was behind his brother taking second with a height of 3.5 meters.

Next in the high jump,
Jacob Dawson placed second with a height of 1.85 meters, the equivalent of 6' .75"

In the throws,
Thomas Bearden competed in the shotput taking sixth in the 19 man field with a throw of 12.51 Meters. Then
John Van Til placed seventh in the discus throw. His mark of 35.89 meters earned him the position. In his outdoor debut,
Tennessee Miller placed sixth in the javelin. He did so behind a throw of 33.47 meters in the 12 man field.

Spartan Invitational

Many Saints hit the track at the Spartan Invitational this evening. Begging in the Men's 800 Meter Seeded Run, AQ had three Saints competing.
Caleb Hodgkinson was AQ's top finisher with a time of 1:53 in fourth place.
Will Finch came in ninth with a 1:54, while
Will Westveer finished 24th with a time of 1:59.

Next in the Men's 1500-meter run,
Rob Lohr was AQ's top finisher in the seeded event. He took 23rd with a time of 4:04. In the unseeded section,
Liam Kelly finished first with a time of 4:08. Then in the 5000,
Ben Hardy finished seventh with a time of 15:11. He led a group of six other Saints in the event.

In the sprints,
Cyrus Prudhomme came across the line at 11.10 for a seventh-place finish. He was trailed by
Yussuf Abdullahi (11.45) and
Chris Jandernoa (11.59). Continuing in the sprints,
Chris Jandernoa made his outdoor debut in the 200-meter dash. He ran 23.61 placing 20th.

AQ returns to the track and field next Friday, April 7 at the Jack Shaw Invitational. The all-day meet takes place in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
