Grand Rapids, Michigan - The women's lacrosse team eagerly anticipated this afternoon when they would host the third ranked Lawrence Tech Blue Devils. The Saints would pester their opponents for most of the game, but the Blue Devils would walk away with the 17-11 victory.

The Saints have a 10-2 overall record this year, and now 7-1 in conference play. Lawrence Tech improves to 11-1 and 8-0 in conference play.

The Saints surprised Tech when they scored at 10:17 despite spending most of the time prior to the goal on defense. This goal came from Cierra Davis on an assist from Kennadie Minerich. The Blue Devils would net two goals before Davis scored again to tie the game at two. Before the quarters end, Lawrence Tech scored two more times to take a 4-2 lead into the second.

Both teams would turn on the offensive jets in second period with each team scoring five times. AQ struck first once again with Stella Bottum netting a goal at 14:09. AQ and LTU went back and forth and AQ's next goal came from Shaylin Rings. Sophia Schmader then scored on a man-up opportunity at 5:22. Davis was the first member of AQ to earn a hat trick with a goal at 2:45. AQ had the final goal of the period when Trinity Reynoso scored with 13 seconds left. LTU would take a 9-7 lead into the half.

In the second half, LTU would turn up the heat and score eight goals to the Saints four. Reynoso and Rings would each have two goals in the half with one in each quarter. Lawrence Tech walked away with the 17-11 victory behind their second half defense.
