AQ STUNT Wins First Game to Close Out Second Season

The Saints defeated Olivet to secure first win in program history after loss to hosts Concordia

Ann Arbor, Mich. — The Aquinas STUNT concluded the 2023 season with two games against Concordia and Olivet on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 15) at the Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Saints put up a valiant fight in their first game against the site hosts Concordia, but fell 13-6. AQ bounced back by winning the program's first game in a 10-0 shutout victory over Olivet. This comes a week after the AQ cheer team competed at the 2023 NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla.

"We're proud of the team coming back from NCA nationals and having only a week to prepare for our last game of the season and came out strong," STUNT assistant coach Taylor Kidd said. "We achieved a huge goal of ours in our game against the Cardinals and got the chance to redeem ourselves against Olivet. Very grateful to be apart of this program and cannot wait to see what is in store next year!"

In Game 1 against Concordia, the Saints were strong in their jumps and tumbling routines to squeeze out most of their points in the third quarter. From the momentum gained in the first game, the Saints earned a historic victory. AQ will look to build upon this success going into next season.
